Get to know Project Respect’s Coordinator, Jamie!

Q: When I was a kid, I wanted to grow up to be…

A: A wife and a mom…so I guess I’m living my dream.

Q: How did you end up at Project Respect?

A: I saw a job posting in my church bulletin and thought the job sounded like a unique mix of my passions/experiences.

Q: What do you love most about working with Project Respect?

A: I love the opportunity to make an impact in the lives of youth.

Q: Favorite ice cream flavor?

A: The longer the name, the more I will probably like it. Triple chocolate brownie mocha crunch or over-the-top flavors like that.

Q: What food can you not go without?

A: Coffee…preferably flavored coffee with cream, hold the sugar.

Q: What’s one of your best memories as a child?

A: The ordinary, carefree days of summertime…going on adventures in the woods with my brothers, building forts, riding bikes.

Q: If I could go anywhere in the world…

A:  Somewhere with mountains.

Q: People might be surprised to know…

A: I met my husband at church camp when I was in 4th grade, and I had a little crush on him.

Q: When I’m not in the office, meetings, or the classroom, I’m most likely to be found…

A: Cooking or baking in my kitchen.

Q: How do you relax?

A: By spending time with my family outside.

Q: What was the last movie, TV show or book that made you emotional, cry or tear up?

A: I think it might have been Zootopia, but that sounds ridiculous. Can we say it was War Room?

Q: Given the choice of anyone in the world, whom would you want as a dinner guest?

A: My husband 🙂

Q: Would you like to be famous? In what way?

A: No way! I couldn’t handle the paparazzi.

Q: What would constitute a perfect day for you?

A: A day at the lake with family.
