Employment

Do you have a passion for helping middle and high school youth embrace the value of abstinence until marriage?

Are you looking for part-time work with a flexible schedule?

Would you love to have your summers off?

Project Respect is currently hiring for the position of Classroom Facilitator.

We go into health classes in schools all over Northwest Ohio to share messages of sexual risk avoidance (SRA), healthy relationships, good character, and more.  We offer a 5-day SRA program for 6th-9th grade.  We also offer a 2-day Safe Dates (dating abuse prevention) program for Junior High and High School levels.

This position is only active during the school year (late August through May), so our presenters enjoy their summers off.  During the school year, our schedule is variable from week to week depending on the number of classes we are scheduled to go into, and we work with each presenter to fit his or her schedule. Some presenters work one to two days each week, and others present three to four days each week.

We provide you with all the training you will need and pay for your training.  Our presenters receive mileage reimbursement and are paid for their travel time.

Applicants must possess excellent teaching, organizational, and communication skills, and have either a bachelor’s degree (preferably in education, health, psychology, social work or related field) OR experience teaching middle and high school students in group settings. This is a part-time, paid position ranging from 5-10 hours per week depending on the number of scheduled presentations.

“My favorite thing about working with Project Respect is being able to talk about the “awkward” stuff in a down-to-earth and fun way! The students really seem to enjoy the week, and I know that I wish someone would’ve shared this information with me when I was in middle school.”

-Leah, Classroom Facilitator since 2021
